The last step would be signing the return. When self-preparing your taxes and filing electronically, you must sign and validate your electronic tax return by entering your prior-year Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) or your prior-year Self-Select PIN (Personal Identification Number). You should provide your email address so you can be notified of the status of your e-filed return. Signing your return using Self-Select PIN is the simplest and fastest way to submit your signature. You do not need to mail in a paper signature, and you receive an immediate acknowledgment that your tax return was received. Learn more about self-selecting a PIN by visiting the IRS Web site. Now click the Next button to finish filing April's return. |
