Case Study 1: Privacy Policy

Lisa is a new volunteer who is helping Bob with his tax return. Bob is recently divorced. Lisa has some questions about his filing status and about alimony payments he made to his ex-wife during the year. Lisa can ask a more experienced volunteer about the correct tax treatment for Bob, but she should not mention Bob's name in her questions. Other volunteers may know Bob and should not have access to his confidential financial and personal information.
